Catholic Action
As practical Catholic Irish Gentlemen, we take the dogmas and doctrines of our Mother Church quite seriously, and we support its core social causes. Three causes that we actively support include:
1. Religious Liberty
2. The Dignity of Marriage, and
3 . Right to Life.
The United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB),and all Bishop Conferences are expressed by Church Law.
Can. 447 A conference of bishops, a permanent institution, is a group of bishops of some nation or certain territory who jointly exercise certain pastoral functions for the Christian faithful of their territory in order to promote the greater good which the Church offers to humanity, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate fittingly adapted to the circumstances of time and place, according to the norm of law.
The website for the USCCB is a wonderful tool for all Christians, especially Catholics. The site provides a world of resources to help men and women grow in their faith lives. The Bishops provide teaching and guidance on how to grow closer to Christ as we grow closer to our sisters and brothers throughout the world, and in our own parishes.
