We always are looking for, and are very welcoming of, new members to our Order! If you are considering joining us in the Ancient Order of Hibernians, please consider the following:

Our Division is located in Catonsville, Maryland, and our members are primarily drawn from Baltimore County or Howard County, although we have members from as far west as Frederick, as far north as Carroll County, as Far East as Belair, and as far south as Ocean City!

Full membership in our Order is confined to men 16 years and older who are practicing Roman Catholics of Irish birth or descent and who are citizens of United States of America or who have declared their intentions to become citizens of the United States of America. We also offer associate membership for men of good character who don’t meet our requirements for full membership.

We accept members throughout the year at our monthly regular membership meetings. The full membership votes on each new member. Once you’ve been voted in as a full member or as an Associate member, and you’ve undergone the initiation ritual (which can be held before any regular meeting, you can attend regular membership meetings. Until then, though, join us after our meetings (usually 8:30 pm or so) and/or at ANY of our events.

If you apply to be an Associate Member, you are not required to be Irish or Catholic. Benefits, however, vary from those who are Full Members.
